Todd Lane Parents,
I am happy to announce that much of Phase I of the Todd Lane Renovation Project is complete. We have been prepping to move our Fourth Grade students into their newly renovated classroom spaces. The rooms received a complete makeover to include windows, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, whiteboards, technology, and air conditioning. New furniture will be added once all grade level classrooms are complete.
At the same time, our Fifth Grade student classrooms will be moving into the space previously occupied by the Fourth Grade. The move is anticipated to occur between now and the weekend of April 6-8. The teachers have been packing over the last several weeks and our custodial staff is prepared as well.
The new kitchen and cafeteria addition, which are also a part of Phase I construction, are nearing completion. I do not have a solid date for occupancy at this time but am anticipating the students using the new cafeteria sometime later in April. The kitchen is equipped with state of the art appliances. The cafeteria is spacious with an enormous curtain wall and modern technology that can also serve as a large group space to accommodate multi-purpose functions for the school.
As was shared previously, Phase II construction will include the current Fifth Grade wing and eventually, the old kitchen once the new kitchen and cafeteria have been occupied. Additional barriers and construction controls will be put in place prior to any construction in any of the Phase II areas.
At this time, Third Grade classroom renovations are scheduled to occur in June after school is dismissed for the summer. I will provide more communication, as we get closer to Phase II renovations.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Respectfully,
Dr. Nicholas Perry
Superintendent
