CVMS students excel at Academic Games Competition at Geneva College
Thirty CVMS students travelled to Geneva College on Friday, November 21 to compete in the Academic Games competition "Propaganda". Preliminary Middle level qualifiers for the national tournament include Jodi Patterson, who tied for first, Lucas Watson, who tied for third, Alexis Alquin, and Kevin Kennelly. In the Elementary Division for 6th Grade, Mariah Pringle also tied for third, in a field of over 150 competitors!  Great job by all!

Congratulations to our CVMS 6th grade teacher & head football coach Mark Lyons and his CV Warrior Football team on winning the WPIAL AAA Football Championship.  Congratulations guys and good luck moving forward in the PIAA state playoffs!!! 
CVMS students raise over $12,000 with Cookie Dough & Warrior Card Fundraisers
CVMS students raised over $9,000 with this years cookie dough sale and over $3,500 in warrior card sales.  The money will be used at each grade level differently to enhance their programs, provide prizes, and possible field trips.  Great effort and participation by all to enhance your middle school experiences and special thanks to our middle school PTO and fundraiser provider Jeff Martinelli and to all who supported our student fundraisers! 
CVMS awarded STEM Grant from BCET & Highmark
The Beaver County Educational Trust has awarded CVMS $1,455 to conduct a STEM Walk night at the middle school this spring.  We would like to thank the Beaver County Educational Trust & Highmark for this wonderful opportunity.  We are proud to announce that we will be partnering with TUV Rheinland to put on our event this spring.  More details to follow in the near future.

The Schools to Watch Committee visited our CVMS on November 18.
The Schools to Watch evaluation team visited our Central Valley Middle School on Tuesday, November 18.  We would like to thank the STW committee, our parents and student representatives for their time and efforts in meeting with the interviewing committee members. Middle School Lock-In raises $1,100 for Holiday Food Drive
The MS Community Service Club hosted a lock in after school on Monday, November 10th from 2:35 - 6:00 pm.  We had 170 student attend. All proceeds went to our CVMS holiday Food Drive.  Please click on to read more and see pictures from the event.
