Golden Apple Awards
On Wednesday May 13th, The Prevention Network held their first annual Golden Apple Gala event honoring outstanding and dedicated teachers. Elementary, middle school and high school teachers from school districts throughout Beaver County were nominated and attended the inaugural event which recognized their dedication to students, school spirit, influence on colleagues, and their overall efforts in and out of the classroom.

Congratulations to Whitney Domico!
Congratulations to CVMS 8th grader, Whitney Domico whose invention: The Write Look took first place at the Invention Convention, held May 12 in Beaver Falls. Students from around Beaver County were seen sporting her invention: pencil/stylus accessories to allow students to be prepared to write in class. 
Congrats to our "Sumo-bot" team!
On May 5th CVMS took part in a "Sumo-bot" competition at Ambridge High School. Districts from all around the county came together to compete with their robots with hopes of having fun, meeting new people and perhaps even taking home a trophy. Central Valley 7th Graders Kevin Kennelly, Antonio Alberico and Michael Lucci took third place out of the 15 teams competing. We are very proud of all the teams that competed, they did a great job representing CV and our dedication to success.

The Central Valley School District hosted an iPad information night for parents on April 7th.

The Central Valley School District makes a another significant jump in regional school district rankings according to the Pittsburgh Business Times. 
Central Valley Named Among Nation's Best Communities for Music Education
The Central Valley School District was recently named among the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation – one of only 2 in Beaver County.

Important Notice Regarding Student Registration Procedures
Beginning January 27, 2015 parents of any new students regardless of grade level looking to attend Central Valley School District should report to South Entrance of the Central Valley High School to register with the District (This does not apply to students registering for Kindergarten for the 2015-16 school year, that announcement is coming soon). 
CVMS students raise over $12,000 with Cookie Dough & Warrior Card Fundraisers
CVMS students raised over $9,000 with this years cookie dough sale and over $3,500 in warrior card sales.  The money will be used at each grade level differently to enhance their programs, provide prizes, and possible field trips.  Great effort and participation by all to enhance your middle school experiences and special thanks to our middle school PTO and fundraiser provider Jeff Martinelli and to all who supported our student fundraisers!
