Jennifer Manganello, Amy Abrams, Joy George, & Christine Carroll were recognized at the Annual Golden Apple Gala on Thursday, May 25th at the Prevention Network.  These teachers were recognized amongst a group of exemplary teachers throughout the county.  Great job ladies! MS Yearbook Information
It's that time of the year!!!!! Yearbooks will be on sale outside the front office during period 1 on May 30, 2017 and May 31, 2017. Please remind students we will accept cash or check which can be made out to Central Valley School District. Also if a student pre-ordered their yearbook online, he/she can pick up his/her yearbook during this time too. CVMS students place in Invention Convention Competition
The following four students competed for CVMS at the Beaver County Invention Convention on May 16, 2017: Goehring Peterson (grade 6), and Brandon Jukes, Emma Thompson and Gwenyth Prince (grade 7). Goehring and Emma received third place in their respective divisions, and Gwenyth won first prize for her invention the "Watch Out!". Congratulations to all the competitors for their efforts! 
Big Hearts for little Paws - CVMS 6th grade students put on bake sale fundraiser benefitting the Humane Society
CVMS 6th graders Madison Baldwin, Emma Parrish, Sidney McGuire, Panagiota Cooper, Navaeh Jeffers, Alexandra Walmsley, & Madeline Crea held a bake sale on May 16th at CVMS to benefit the Human Society.  The girls raised over $400.  Great job girls!!!

Notice to Parents: New PA Dept of Health Immunization Law
As part of the educational team, the Central Valley School District nurses coordinate the resources of the family, school and community to help the student achieve optimum health and academic success.   
School Vaccination Information for Parents
Please read the attached PDF on information pertaining to the changes  of the school immunization regulations beginning in August 2017.  Children not in compliance may be excluded from attending school. 
Notice From the Central Valley Transportation Department
Starting Monday, March 27, 2017; PENNDOT will be closing and replacing a bridge on Chapel Road in front of the former Jem's Deli, near Highland Avenue and Morgan Lane. The project is expected to take the remainder of the school year.
Due to this closure, some bus schedules will need to be adjusted. If your child's bus is affected by this project you will be contacted by the Transportation Department no later than Friday, March 24th to be notified of the adjusted bus schedule. 
All students that are riding the bus to school should be at their bus stop 10 minutes prior to their scheduled pickup time. There also may be a 5 to 10 minute delay in drop-off times, during the project.

Central Valley MS Program of Studies & Honors Courses Criteria
Central Valley MS is excited to implement curriculum changes and course offerings for the 16-17 school year.  We are grateful to have received grants from our CVEF and the AIU3 Center for Creativity to implement our Project Lead the Way STEAM curriculum in our 6-8 Technology Education courses.  This year will also be the first year we implement our honors courses. Please see the attached Program of Studies and criteria for honors courses that will be implemented this coming fall.
