From the Kitchen to Safety: Real-World Skills That Matter!
Our High School FCS students had the opportunity to learn an important real-world skill today! We were grateful to welcome the Lieutenant Obenauf and Center Township Volunteer Fire Department to our FCS classes for a hands-on lesson in kitchen fire safety and proper fire extinguisher use.
Students learned what to do, and what not to do, if a kitchen fire occurs, as well as how to safely use a fire extinguisher in an emergency. These are valuable skills that our students can carry with them both in the classroom and at home.
A huge THANK YOU to the Center Township Volunteer Fire Department for taking the time to visit our students, share your knowledge, and provide such an informative and memorable demonstration! We truly appreciate the work you do to keep our community safe.
