CVHS Students Leading the Future of AI Learning!

Today, Central Valley High School students Liam Cairns and Andrew Fay, along with Mr. Joseph Sowinski, participated in the first of a five-part AI Pioneers – Students Leading the Future of Learning workshop at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit (BVIU).

The AI Pioneers program brings students and teacher mentors together as a team to explore artificial intelligence, ethical and responsible AI use, critical thinking, emerging tools, and the changing role of AI in education.

What makes this opportunity unique is that our students aren't simply learning about AI—they are being empowered to become co-learners, co-designers, and student leaders who can help shape how AI is used in our schools.

Liam, Andrew, and Mr. Sowinski will continue working together throughout the five-part series as they explore how AI can support teaching and learning while keeping responsible and ethical use at the forefront.

We are excited to have two of our Warriors representing CVHS in this innovative opportunity and look forward to seeing what they bring back to our school community!
