During the second semester, Ms. Hufnagle's Child Development class wrote and illustrated children's books. The course emphasizes the importance of literacy in a child's development at all ages and how important it is to make reading educational and fun. On Thursday, April 19, they took their books down to Todd Lane and read them to the 3rd grade classes.

The Central Valley School District is having an Act 80 Day on Friday, April 20th. There will be no school for High School and Middle School Students. All out of district students will need to follow their assigned alternative bus schedule found here: Alternate Transportation Schedules

Mark Palumbo, Jacob Schurr and Aaron Swoger competed in the Mr. Beaver County Scholarship program along with 12 other contestants Friday night April 13th at Central Valley.   Mr. Beaver County is a scholarship event for young men in Beaver County sponsored by The Prevention Network. All schools are invited to participate.  The students are required to be drug and alcohol free, have good standings in their schools with academics and attendance, and have staff recommendation.
