This course begins with a review of the metric system and unit conversions.  Concepts such as speed, velocity, and the changes in velocity by the result of the action of forces on objects will be explored. The study of potential and kinetic energy transformations will be examined.  Students will also have an opportunity to use numerous models to fully understand the Sun-Earth-Moon system and how the interactions between these three objects are responsible for various occurrences ranging from the eclipses to tidal patterns.
