Central Valley School District

The Central Valley School District was established on July 1, 2009. It is comprised of the former Center Area and Monaca school districts, and includes the municipalities of Center Township, Potter Township, and Monaca Borough. The CVSD represents the first “Voluntary” merger of public school districts in the State of Pennsylvania.

There are approximately 18,000 residents living throughout the Central Valley School District communities. Student enrollment is approximately 2500, and our school taxes are nearly the lowest in Beaver County. The Central Valley School District’s holds a valuable reputation for high academic performance and serves as one of the finest quality-of-life communities in Beaver County . Along with excellence in the classroom, a plethora of extracurricular activities in sports, arts, and student clubs are part of the District’s commitment to educating the whole child.

We currently utilize four buildings:

  • Central Valley High School located at 160 Baker Road Extension in Center Township.  We have recently renovated sections of the high school facility to include, but not  limited to a state of the art technology center that consists of five computer labs and a TV production center; a spacious 400+ seat cafeteria and food court; lighting and  sound system in auditorium; and an artificial turf athletic complex.
  • Central Valley Middle School located at 1500 Allen Ave in Monaca.  An asset resulting from the merger, Central Valley Middle School offers an appropriate
age Middle School program in its own independent setting. Renovations were recently completed that addressed IDEA regulations.
  • Todd Lane Elementary School located at 113 Todd Lane in Center Twp.  Todd Lane houses grades 3-5 in a moderate facility near our high school campus.
  • Center Grange Primary School located at 225 Center Grange Road in Center Twp.  Just three years old, the primary school is a state-of-the-art educational facility
built specifically for early childhood-age students. Multiple colors and themed wings welcome students and staff to school each day.
