Greetings! How quickly is this year going? Here we are in February and thankfully we haven’t experienced a really awful winter. Here are some items on our February calendar. We continue to monitor the progress of our students with the completion of our 2nd benchmark. The teachers meet on a weekly basis to discuss issues and concerns with our instruction as related to the benchmarks.
We have the ever famous Jungle Terry coming in on February 9th; the kids really enjoy him and his exotic animals. Our DARE Program is beginning on February 15th, and will continue each Wednesday with our 5th graders, ending with a graduation ceremony sometime in May. Also on February 21st we will be holding a mini Mardi gras late in the afternoon as a culminating activity in conjunction with a thematic unit held the previous week.
The current book fair which was held last week was a total success and a huge thanks to Miss Beth Murphy (librarian) and with the help of the PTA made it an enjoyable event.
