Welcome to Middle School Art

 6th Grade-O'Keeffe Paintings

WELCOME ARTISTS!
Here, you will be able to experiment with your creative side through the fundamentals of art and design! We generally complete between three and four core projects, all of which vary in media from drawing and painting to printmaking and three dimensional sculpture. In addition, we have smaller exercises and activities to allow you to build upon the knowledge behind your art and the artists who have inspired the styles studied. Bring your paint smock, sketchbook, and an open mind and be ready to jump into a world full of free-thinking and fun!

I, Mrs. Kelly, will be your middle school art teacher.  If you are in 7th or 8th grade, we know each other pretty well by now. Over the course of the rotation,  I hope you will soon share my same passion or the arts, or at least appreciate and discover something new that you can apply to another aspect of your lives. Remember, there are a variety of media and a myriad of ways to express oneself creatively! The key is to be open-minded and ready to take some risks. Get ready for a fabulous year!

A few items are needed for the art rotation in all grades:
