Superintendent's Message

We are Central Valley! Several months of anxious anticipation have passed, and in what seems like a blink of an eye, Central Valley School District is born. Our entire staff has worked extremely hard for this historic day, and the promises of a newly enhanced educational system lies ahead of us.

As the Superintendent of the Central Valley School District, I am extremely proud of our commitment to provide a rigorous curriculum, outstanding extra-curricular programs, and a nurturing environment as we mold the leaders of tomorrow. During the 2009-2010 school year, our staff will pursue educational excellence through data-driven research-based continuous improvement strategies, progressive instructional practices, and healthy student support services. We will monitor All Student’s Advancement Plans (ASAP) as each student and grade cohort passes through our system for the next thirteen years. The Pennsylvania Department of Education is transitioning to a student growth accountability model. We, at Central Valley School District, will be ahead of the curve as we implement our new ASAP Program.

Our elementary schools, Center Grange Primary School and Todd Lane Elementary School, are poised to implement Phase I of our merger. Over the next nine months, we will closely monitor the elementary programming while entering into the planning for Phase II at the secondary level. Another exciting year of creating our own future as Central Valley!

I feel confident that our community will find our schools welcoming and responsive to their needs, and most importantly, those of our children.
